The next generation of our CAVE Restaurant: the 'TREE' Restaurant in Sydney (Sushi Train Sutherland, Shop 2&3, 570 President Avenue, Sutherland, NSW 2232) is near completion. It has been pretty amazing to see the 'TREE' grows day by day as construction progresses. We look forward to the grand opening of the restaurant in 12 January 2011. Many Thanks & Congratulations to Mr Goro Usui (the proud owner of big 'TREE') and the great team from Sushi Train Australia: Mr Bob Jones, Yoshiki Matsuoka, Ryouji Yamashita, Hideki Konno. SUNSET IN SYDNEY (Stage 1)

We want to show how the city apartment living can be connected with outside nature. The temperature of day light as well as sunset colour was simulated with the use of special filters. We experiment with numbers of different filters to see how outside natural light can alter the ambience of inside apartment. The particular location of this apartment makes it harder to gain ideal natural light condition; natural light only comes into bedrooms in early mornings, and the living room only receives ‘late’ afternoon sun, generally lacking the ideal natural light level throughout the day. The concept was hence intended to bridge such gap by infilling the artificial ‘warmth’ in city lifestyle.

Frasers Broadway with Jean Nouvel

We are recently appointed as the interior designer for the East Tower of Sydney Frasers Broadway Block 2, designed by Ateliers Jean Nouvel from Paris. We are very excited to be working with such an inspirational design by Jean Nouvel, and will be making a dialogue between Nouvel's external architecture and our internal concept. Koichi would like to thank Frasers Property, Ateliers Jean Nouvel, PTW Architects and particularly, KTA's design team for great team efforts.

Louis Vuitton Paris

In the beginning of the year 2010, we travelled to Paris and presented to the Espace Culturel Louis Vuitton in the Avenue des Champs-Élysées. We are very excited by this opportunity and will keep developing our initial concept proposal. Koichi would like to thank Michelle Tabet and Emi Takada for the great team work in Paris.

CAVE RESTAURANT COMPLETED

Much anticipated 'CAVE' restaurant is now completed in Sydney.
We had a very good feed-backs from our clients and customers on its acoustic quality of the CAVE structure. The restaurant is located at 944 Anzac Parade in Maroubra.

OCEAN ROOM

Ocean Room Restaurant was recently completed in Sydney.
This project was designed and managed in collaboration with Yasumichi Morita of Glamorous Co., Ltd, Japan, and built by Bob Richardson of Bonar Interiors Pty Ltd.
